Ennis Group Transfers via Shannon Airport

Ennis is about 25 km from Shannon Airport, some 20-25 minutes on the M18, one of the quickest airport-to-hotel connections in the west. It also has a purpose-built coach park a short walk from the main streets, so moving a group after arrival is simpler than in most Irish towns.

Meeting flights at Shannon

Minibus and coach operators may not park outside the Shannon terminal at any time. They wait in the airport's coach parks, and Coach Park 2, at departures, is also used by on-hire minibuses and limousines. Brief passengers on where the vehicle is and name one person to lead them from the arrivals hall.

Groups flying on to the United States clear US immigration and customs at Shannon before departure, under US Preclearance. Build that into the drop-off time you request.

Friar's Walk Coach Park

The coach park at Friar's Walk, near glór, offers 14 coach spaces at no charge, with a passenger shelter for drop-offs and collections roughly 100 m from the centre. The town has Coach Friendly Destination status; traffic wardens enforce the bye-laws that govern bus parking, so drivers wait in the marked bays, not on the street.

For an evening performance at glór or a Clare game at Cusack Park, send start and expected finish times. The return is booked as its own leg.

Onward legs from Ennis

Bunratty is about 20 minutes south, Poulnabrone Dolmen in the Burren about 35 minutes and the Cliffs of Moher about 45. The Cliffs of Moher require advance booking for anyone arriving by coach and for parties of 10 or over, so secure that time before fixing the day. Doolin, about 50 minutes out, has ferries to the Aran Islands; a sailing time becomes a hard deadline for everything else.

Galway is about an hour north. A Shannon arrival, a night in Ennis and a Galway leg the next morning is a straightforward sequence to book as one job.
