Greenway Coach Ireland

The Booking Service Behind Your Transfers

We book group transport for events, corporate programmes and tours in Ireland. We do not run vehicles. Licensed, insured operators supply the coaches, minibuses and cars and employ the drivers; we turn your schedule into a booking they can run.

Our side and the operator's side

We take the brief, choose an operator with the right vehicle classes free, obtain the price and send you the written quote. After you accept, we confirm the booking and carry changes between you and the operator until the last drop-off.

The operator is the licensed party: it owns and insures the vehicles and employs the drivers. Carrying more than eight passengers for hire needs a Road Passenger Transport Operator Licence, and buses with more than eight passenger seats pass an annual CVRT roadworthiness test once over a year old.

How an operator gets the job

Only operators licensed and insured for passenger work receive requests. From those, the choice turns on three points: the right classes free on your dates, a base close enough to the first pickup that nothing runs a long way empty, and familiarity with the airports and venues on your schedule. For a passenger who uses a wheelchair, the vehicle must suit the chair, so we ask for its details before placing the job.

Things we leave out

We do not sell seats on shared services, tours or event shuttles; every vehicle booked travels for your group only. We do not supply tickets, guides or venue access. We do not publish prices, because each one reflects that job's date, duration, mileage, vehicle class, tolls and parking.

Where the planning detail comes from

Coach rules, set-down points and road times on this site come from published material by venues, event organisers, airport and port companies, the NTA, TII and local councils. Times and distances are approximate and rules change. If one is critical to your programme, note it in the request so the operator checks it before pricing.

Questions

Do you run any vehicles yourselves?

No. Every vehicle belongs to the operator that runs the job, and the driver is employed by that operator.

Can one booking use more than one vehicle class?

Yes. A programme might pair an executive car for a speaker with coaches for delegates, all on the same quote.

Can a programme include Northern Ireland?

The city pages cover the Republic only. A leg across the border, such as Dublin to Belfast at about 2 hours, can be part of a request.

Brief us on the programme

Dates, headcount and the list of movements are enough for an operator to start pricing.
