Kerry Airport (Farranfore) transfers for groups and delegates

Collection at the terminus

Killarney and Tralee drop-offs

Killarney is roughly a 15-minute run one way and Tralee 17 minutes the other. At the Killarney end, the East Avenue laybys are for bus set-down only and the council monitors town-centre bus parking, so hotel drops there are quick unload-and-go stops. Delegates for the Gleneagle INEC Arena, about 1 km from the town centre on the Kenmare road, can go straight to the venue; so can Tralee groups heading for Siamsa Tíre in Town Park.

Rail and road connections

With Farranfore rail station just 1.4 km away, part of a group arriving by train can be folded into the airport run. By road, Cork and Limerick each take around 90 minutes, so groups flying into Cork or Shannon and on to Kerry should treat that leg as a transfer in its own right.

Landing and touring on the same day

Driving the whole Ring of Kerry, roughly 180 km with stops, fills a day. After a short morning flight it can work; after an early start or a long connection, a hotel drop on day one and the Ring the next morning usually suits the driver's hours and the passengers.
