Dublin Port cruise calls: ship to airport, hotel or city

Ships calling at Dublin Port berth inside the working port, downstream of the Tom Clarke Bridge, some 4 km from the centre. For turnaround passengers and shore groups we book the vehicle with a licensed, insured operator and build every timing from the ship's arrival and all-aboard.

Disembarkation to the airport

Dublin Airport is about 10 km from the port, 15 to 30 minutes by road, and the run need not cross the city centre: the Dublin Port Tunnel is an option, with no toll for coaches of more than 25 seats. For departing guests the coach drops at the Terminal 2 departures kerb, right by check-in.

For a turnaround, send the disembarkation window the line gives you and each passenger's flight. Guests on midday flights and those flying out in the evening rarely belong on the same vehicle, and a hotel day room in between is sometimes simpler than a long airport wait.

Moving shore groups around the city

Cruise shuttle buses have their own set-down and pick-up point on Merrion Square South. For a guided group, signed city coach stops such as Nassau Street are for loading only, while on-street coach bays, limited to two hours, are for parking. The NTA Docklands Coach Park, entered via Park Lane off North Wall Quay, suits a longer wait. Bus gates on the central quays from 07:00 to 19:00 shape the route between stops.

Working back from all-aboard

Set the last pickup from the all-aboard time, not the sailing time, and include the drive back through the working port. A shore programme that ends at a Docklands venue is close to the berths; one that ends in Wicklow is not.

Is Dún Laoghaire the same as Dublin Port?

No. Some ships anchor off Dún Laoghaire and land passengers by tender at St Michael's Pier, about 25 km from Dublin Airport. Check the itinerary before booking, since the pickup and travel time differ.

Can one vehicle do the airport run and a city tour?

Yes, if the timings allow. Give the disembarkation window, the tour stops and the flight, and the quote will show the sequence and where the vehicle waits.
