National Ploughing Championships 2027: transfers to Rathangan
The 2027 Ploughing moves to Boherkill Farm near Rathangan, Co. Kildare, for three days, 21 to 23 September. Exhibitors, agri-business delegations, schools and farming groups can book their show-day runs with us; licensed, insured operators supply the vehicles and drivers.
Dates and the Ryder Cup
The event is a week later than usual to avoid the Ryder Cup at Adare Manor, which runs 17 to 19 September 2027. Groups used to the usual date should recheck hotel and transport bookings, and anyone planning to attend both events should book both sets of transfers together.

From Dublin Airport and the city
Rathangan is about 55 to 60 km south-west of Dublin. Overseas delegations landing at Dublin Airport board their coach in Zone 16 and can go direct to the site; hotel groups leave from the city. A car suits a small VIP party; a coach suits a stand team or visiting group.
Exhibitor teams often need an early run for set-up and a later one for visitors. List both, with headcounts, and the operator can quote them as separate movements or one vehicle doing both.
Traffic plan and shuttles
About 243,000 people came to the 2026 event over its three days, so rural roads fill early. Ahead of every championships the organisers, the National Ploughing Association, issue a traffic management plan and a shuttle-bus timetable. A long day in the field
A full show day from Dublin or beyond is long for the driver as well as the group. Drivers need a 45-minute break after 4.5 hours of driving and have a daily limit, so give the operator departure and return times up front.
